June 15, 2001 The Wirelessreporter2000 conference held at the Puck Building in NYC from June 13-14 was filled with corporate executives in the wireless fields. Speakers included representatives from major wireless solution providers. Many of the panels contained experts who in all reality had as much ideas to the future of wireless as the rest of us. The uncertainty in the market remains which is the most profound aspect of the conference. The Rising Tide Studios presentation was very properly conducted in all areas from hospitality to content. I believe as the direction of the industry becomes more prevalent we will see the resurgence of major conferences such as the WirelessReporter2000. This conference unlike many before was very personal due to the size of the event. Many of the participants conducted business among themselves and also found better access to the speakers as well as the exhibitors. I look forward to the WirelessReportee2002 when the industry takes off next year. This year was more of a reality call that something is brewing in this space. Jason and Xeni from Rising Tide have done it again. Keep up the good work. - Peter Benjamin May15,2001 MyOffice Resources Inc-. Today the company offered a unique broadband streaming opportunity to the Silicon Alley community made up of the top 100 participants in the area. We offer a unique opportunity to acquire streaming services at a relatively discounted price by allowing members to screen their products at cost. At press time the responses were very minimal. "I guess the offer
for saving money and maximizing resources doesn't make sense to the elite
few of Silicon Alley". In the words of the director of sales Jim
Crawford "When they start valuating their business models in the form
of revenue and stop valuating themselves based on page views maybe we will
get some real productivity out of the industry". About the company February, 2001 The Silicon Alley 2001 conference created by Rising Tide Studios was a major success. The participants enjoyed a wide variety of powerful speakers who provided key insights to the future of the internet. The first in the three day series went extremely well as the panels proceeded and many patrons networked. Having been to several other forums I was pleased to find the atmosphere cozy and efficient. The event flowed flawlessly as the speakers and forums were timely. There are two more days in this event and if the first day is any example of what is yet to come I believe that all the patrons will be pleased but mostly informed. The day went on as planned with several key note speakers followed by an evening event at Americas. I look forward to the next few days and also the next conference. The event which is being held at the Metropolitan Pavilion in the heart of Silicon Alley allowed many of the Alley's survivors to simply resurface proudly after the dot-bomb massacre. Many familiar faces were present for the initial day with many more attendees over the next few days. Rising Tide Studios publishes the Silicon Alley Reporter as well as the Digital Coast Reporter Sponsors for the event included Worldwide Exceed Group Inc., Brobeck Attorneys at law, Arthur Anderson, L90, General Atlantic Partners, Alertwire, Sun Microsystems and many more. Congratulations are in order to the entire staff of Rising Tide Studios for their time and efforts. For information follow the links:
